SAMI LABS LIMITED, the research and manufacturing arm of Sabinsa Corporation, was recently honored with the prestigious National Award for R & D efforts in Industry – 2002, in the category of "Chemical and Allied Industries", by the Department of Scientific & Industrial Research (DSIR), Govt. of India, New Delhi.
Joining the list of over fourteen awards for exports, quality and innovation received by Sami Labs Ltd., this award is particularly significant. Over the years, these efforts have facilitated the introduction of several plant extracts and fine chemicals of Indian origin to global markets. As summarized by Dr. Majeed, "Every product from the company is backed by solid science. Research will continue to be one of our core strengths, today and in the years to come".

This ingredient is currently marketed for cosmeceutical use as Sabinsa’s trademarked Cosmoperine® .
- Tetrahydrocurcuminoids, a patent pending ingredient derived from turmeric for use as antioxidant and skin tone lightening ("brightening") agent. The innovative process developed produces a colorless product suitable for use in cosmetic formulations.
- 90% aescin from horsechestnut extract prepared using a natural process that employs plant-derived ingredients to isolate aescin from the seeds. The product is marketed as Sabinsa’s Venocin® for cosmeceutical applications.
- A patent pending stabilized carotenoids composition that contains zeaxanthin and lutein at the physiologically optimal ratio of 1:5. This product is commercialized as Sabinsa’s trademark ZeaLutein® .
